2. The Process |
Logs are delivered, debarked, sawn and graded in the green state.

Stacks containing 55 cubic metres of lumber are dried in a process taking 38 - 55 hours per charge, depending on lumber thickness. |

Lumber is then re-graded after drying according to strict international standards and packaged into customer specific packs. |

Shipments of kiln-dried lumber for the Australian and Asian markets are generally shipped in 40' general-purpose containers, whilst product bound for the US is usually shipped "breakbulk". (A 40' container loads approximately 40 cubic metres of lumber). |
