Planting season about to begin

The 2021 winter planting season is planned to begin after Queen’s Birthday Weekend.
This year we will plant cutover areas at South Akatore and Allanton, and a small area remaining at Waronui, a total of about 525ha. Additionally, there is approximately 370ha to plant for Ngai Tahu at Mt Hyde, 270ha for Corisol at Waitahuna Gully and 50ha for other private growers.
Seedlings will come from several nurseries, including Rangiora, Edendale, Nga Rakau, Leithfield and PF Olsen.
